Some Reminders for This Valentine's Day

Whether you’re with yourself (I’m not too fond of the word single) or a partner, Valentine’s Day represents everyone wherever they’re at in their stage of life. Here’s a list of reminders to hopefully support you in yours.

Don’t reserve only one day to shower your loved ones with affection.

Celebrate yourself by going out to dinner solo or buying something you’ve wanted.

You don’t need someone to send flowers to have them—there’s no shame in buying them yourself!

Share your gratitude for friends and family.

If you feel alone, remember you’re all the company you need.

No partner is required to go out dancing or to enjoy dinner and a movie.

Don’t measure love solely by gifts received.

It’s only for a day.

If you’re struggling with heartbreak, don’t push yourself into anything you’re not ready for, whether that’d be a new relationship or even a night out with friends.

You are free not to participate in anything v-day related.

Don’t be the dark rain cloud over others’ heads. Let them celebrate the holiday as they wish, even if it annoys you.
