We all need a place where we can go to unwind and let go. If that place isn’t accessible to you right now, let this poem tap into your imagination and give your heart some reprieve.
She wandered into the forest
To get lost
In the stifling city
With steaming sidewalks
And black plumes of poison
Her mind became a crowded place
Her voice disappeared
She grabbed her keys and left
As soon as she lost sight of the road
She screamed as loudly as she could
To let go of the pain
The treetops rustled
The wind whispered
The birds sang
The whole wood
Cheered her on
She wandered into the forest
To get lost
What she found was a place
That understood her heart
