Reflecting on my experiences, I’ve noticed recurring themes that shape my thoughts and actions. This essay outlines personal challenges and common threads I’m sure we can relate to—trusting ourselves, finding joy in the mundane, and forging our own paths. I hope it inspires you to embrace your unique perspectives and cultivate resilience against life's pressures.

Here’s what I want for myself and for you too.

To trust myself more: There’s almost always a constant struggle in the back of my mind on whether I’m doing things “right” in whatever I’m doing. This could easily apply to various aspects of my life—work, play, relationships…Did I follow my manager’s instructions correctly? Does this drawn line look straight? Is this boundary too strict?

And all the while, I worry about how others perceive me and my decisions. I’m even doing it right now—questioning whether this essay will serve enough value to those who read it. It’s exhausting to second-guess myself constantly while I disregard my feelings in all of it.

I don’t pause enough to check in with myself, to evaluate whether I’m leading with perfection as the goal or finding joy in whatever the day brings. One mindset creates misery, while the other leaves room for growth despite mistakes, which are just a facet of being human in this floating orb of a home.

If we can trust ourselves more and let go (or at least loosen the reigns) of control, our inner voice can shine through and help us overcome all the scenarios involving failure. Honestly, trusting ourselves is not a measure of how much we do right but what we learn about ourselves along the journey. When we use and embrace our unique perspectives, we can tackle anything.
